Disoposable PP Non-Woven Isolation Gown
Intended Purpose
Isolation Gown is intended to be worn by medical staffs to minimize the spread of infective agents to and from patients’ operating wounds, thereby helping to prevent postoperative wound infections.
It may be used for minimal to low risk of exposure situations, such as during endoscopic examinations, common blood drawing procedures and suturing, etc.
Description / Indications
Isolation Gown is a surgical gown, which is worn by a member of a surgical team to prevent transfer of infective agents.
The transmission of infective agents during invasive surgical procedures can occur in several ways. Surgical gowns are used to minimize the transmission of infective agents between patients and clinical staff during surgical and other invasive procedures. Hereby, surgical gowns contribute to the clinical condition and the safety of patients. It makes a significant contribution to preventing nosocomial infections.
The Isolation Gown consists of the gown body, sleeves, cuff and straps. It is secured by the tie-on, which consists of two non-woven straps that are tied around the waist.
It is primarily made from a laminated non-woven fabric or a thin-bonded non-woven fabric called SMS. SMS stands for Spunbond/Meltblown/Spunbond – consisting of three thermally bonded layers, based on polypropylene. The material is lightweight and comfortable non-woven fabric that provides a protective barrier.
The Isolation Gown is developed, manufactured and tested in accordance with Standard EN13795-1. Six sizes are available: 160(S)、165(M)、170(L)、175(XL)、180(XXL)、185(XXXL).
